Chicago: Part 4

Chicago: Part 3

Cedar Point
If you know me well, you know that i love any kind of amusement park. So, going to this huge amusement park in Ohio, on an island.... can we say awesome! It was really cold and really crowded, but the rides and the funnel cake made up for it! and the whole time i was there, i kept thinking...." i cant believe im in OHIO!" i guess i just thought Ohio was going to be one of those states that i was never going to visit, and i was OK with that. But life has its surprises and this was a good one!

Abe, me , Melinda, and Brooks. We just got off this really cheesy ride, i cant even explain it, your just going to have to trust me on this one.

Jenny and Kaden
This was one of the rides we went on that was really fun!

Chicago: Part 1

South Bend/Norte Dame

This is where our Trip began! We met up with our friends Drew, Jenny and their son Kaden, and also Brookes and Melinda in South Bend, Indiana
(Just as a side note, Abe, Drew and Brooks have been best friends since the second grade!)

Abe lighting a candle at the Grotto.
The Grotto is a replica of the famed French shrine where the Blessed Virgin appeared to Saint Bernadette. Thousands visit the Notre Dame shrine each year to pray and light candles.
Abe, Drew and Brooks still thinking they are 14 years- old!
Just out side of Drew and Jenny's apartment in South Bend, Indiana... Beautiful!
Drew is getting his MBA at Norte Dame and we got a tour of campus, which included the 128 year-old main building with the gilded golden dome, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, and touch-down Jesus!

ahhhhh...fall, how i missed you!

walk of hope

Last Sunday morning, me and my sister, Alexa did the Walk of Hope for the cure of breast cancer. It was really cool seeing all these people out supporting this cause. We did the walk for our grandma, who has been free of breast cancer for eight years.

Tucson!

Iron and Wine/Swell Season
Over the weekend we went to Tucson to see Iron and Wine and The Swell Season with our good friends Taylor and Meg Beckstead!

The night we got there we ate at this resturant called Zinburger. They had really good turkey burgers and zucchini fries.

This is one wall of the girls bathroom that i thought was kind of cool..in a creepy kind of way

Iron and Wine

The concert was Amazing! Rialto is a very good venue and both artist are very talented. We were also lucky enough to have Joey Burns from Calexico play with both Iron and Wine and the Swell Season.

this is a video of the Swell Season(sorry for the poor quality)
