so... here is our house.
sorry its taken so long to put up pictures. It was built in 1950 and is in a super cute neighborhood. We've done a lot of work on it and still have a TON more to do. Sorry you have to see it in its Christmas state. But we are loving it, and loving not sharing a wall with somebody else, and having our own driveway.. i could go on, but i wont.

I don't have the attention span for technology.

sometimes when i think about this blog, and how i haven't posted anything in a while( i think i lost November somewhere?) and how i have been meaning to add people/friends to my side thing and i still havent posted pictures about our house ....i just want to NOT think about it. Is it really my attention span or is it just plain laziness?? I think it is blog pressure. I dont know. So why have a blog? I feel like if i dont document my life, it will get lost somewhere. I can just see my 80 year old self, who has the memory of a gold fish, just wanting to kick my 25 year old self in the head. so im going to just keep on going doing this and ive decided when i get around to it, i get around to it. yeah, im taking the pressure off myself right now.

for the last, who knows how long, i really thought i was still 24 years old. I'm not. I'm 25. I have been telling people i am 24... and seriously believing i was still 24?! Forget about losing November somewhere, I've lost an entire year somewhere! I'm shaking my head at myself right now. unbelievable.

i want to go to this. i found the perfect dress for the occasion.

The other day, we purchased Decemberist tickets. Im so excited! it kind of, sorta of, maybe, makes up for missing sufjan stevens.

Toy Story 3...sobbed. i wasn't going to even try and hide it from abe, he was eventually going to feel his shirt wet. i was kind of embarrassed .. but seriously, lets get real.. i get teary eyed from walmart holiday commercials.

Not really, but i was really tired and Abe knew how to win me over. But i would probably be lying if i said we didn't write up these contracts often. Its kind weird, but it sure saves you from having the "no, but you said/promised..." conversation. Lots of things can be negotiated and written up in a contract... Its how i got my living room rug from west elm.

I've had the flu the last couple days.... and its 33% my fault. Last week, i was saying" i haven't gotten sick in so long, blah, blah, blah", i jinxed myself. The other 67% is just because its flu season. But either way, its not even close to fun.

On a lighter note, we didn't die from our bathroom sink. But after all that our sink still wouldn't drain, so we ended up calling a plumber. Oh, and while this plumber was at our house i was watching private practice and he told me what was going to happen in the end of the episode! who does that? what plumber does that?! Thank you, but just fix my sink please.

Sufjan Stevens is coming to mesa and i will be in Colorado at the time!What? I cant even tell you how sad i am! Years ive been wanting to see him, and when he will be down the street from me, i will not even be in there. Sigh.

i been noticing lately, that i have been a really negative person. I need to snap out of it! i was blaming it on the heat but its been nice for a week and i have still been pretty negative.(example: everything i just said above! see what i mean?) So it is my goal, to be more positive.
some positive things i would like to talk about:
I just finished reading These is my words, and it was so good! i loved it! If you haven't read it, you should. Now I'm kind of obsessed with pioneers. It just amazes me, all the stuff they had to go through and just how hard working they had to be.
I have been listening to a lot of Mumford and Sons this week. Good band.
I have a great husband. Seriously. He is the most thoughtful and caring person i have ever met, and I'm so happy to be married to him.

so our bathroom sink has been trouble... it hasn't been able to drain normal for months and months and no amount of drain-o was fixing it. So tonight, Abe decided he was going to bust out the big guns: Crystal Heat Drain Opener. Yes. Something from Home Depot that only professionals should use. I mean you should have some sort of license to buy this stuff, because before we know it, it was like some science experiment gone horribly wrong. i mean blue stuff shooting from the drain, Abe getting first degree burns on his arms. Its smoking and fizzing and there is a cloud of who-knows-what. We are coughing and our throats are burning, our eyes are burning and why is my skin itching? As Abe in going back in there with a shirt tied around his head and sunglasses on, he tells me he thinks he used too much(ya think?)! we couldn't get any windows open(cause we live in an old house and they are painted shut) and there was more smoke and more coughing, and more burning and i am forming some freakish cancer as i type this..... i just think that if no body sees us in two days, we are probably dead and you should send in a search crew.... oh and turn in our blockbuster movies by Friday. Thanks.

I feel like the title should just explain the whole trip: best trip ever. period. maybe fifty or so exclamation points after that... but for everyone else who wasn't there i guess i will fill you in.

last weekend i went to California with my best friends and it seemed like it was exactly what we all needed. Whenever we all get together, its like we are sixteen again...a little immature and think we are really funny. funny like, I'm-laughing-so-hard-i-have-tears-rolling-down-my-cheeks-and-might-of-peed-my-pants-a-little-bit-funny. you get it, right? I hope so.

Im going to brag and tell you that we went on the best day... we walked on every ride. no joke. One ride just let us stay on and go again because there no one was in line. jealous? maybe a little? OK, you are.

Funny story about this picture, On one of our trips from California Adventure to Disneyland Jade  overheard a little boy say to his parents "I want a picture in the A  hole." After we heard that, we all wanted our picture in the A hole.

World of Color
 At California Adventure they have this water, light, music, fire show. It was like the fountains at the Bellagio on Disneyland crack. It was awesome, and when i mean awesome, i mean totally awesome. These pictures really don't come close. Just know that next time you are at California Adventure, you HAVE to go to this show!!!( yeah, that's right i used three exclamation points)

man. summer went by really fast, which i guess im ok with, since its a bazillion degrees outside. sorry, i really stink at keeping this updated( i don't even know if anyone reads this??).

Things that happened in the last couple months:

- i cut off all my hair.Yeah. Think really short, like you-can-see-my-ears-short. i just decided and did it. i cant believe i did it, inches and inches gone and I'm REALLY glad i did it. i cut off at least 15 minutes off my morning routine. ill put up pictures soon.
-Abe lost 30lbs, yeah that's right.. 30lbs. a small child really. i didn't know he could lose that much. amazing.
- i have a new calling in church. The nursery. ummm, i just don't feel like i am the most motherly person. but i guess I'm suppose to be there for a reason? right?
- im going to california next weekend with some of my best and oldest friends. I feel like this trip is much needed. there is something so great about being with people that know you so well. Its effortless. I'm thankful for that, because sometimes your just too tired and I'm in need of a pick-me-up.
- i watched the first season of Felicity. Does anyone know how great that show is?
- Hair-Do moved to its new location, at Dana park and we are loving it! everyone should come by and check it out.
- Oh. i had a client freak out on me about not getting in sooner and it resulted in losing 10 great clients in one day. I'm serious. They are never coming back to me, because this client told them not to..it was unbelievable, and there was nothing i could of said or do to fix it. It was such a bad day.
-i went through a lot of books
- i finally joined a book club. It comforting to know that there are other people out there who stay up to three in the morning reading.
- i need to talk about the Mockingjay with someone.
- somehow we became the "eye sore" of the neighborhood... with all this rain, the weeds in our front yard have grown at a freakishly rapid pace, and then we became "that" house. we finally pulled them out this weekend.( you know when your a home owner, because you are talk about your yard)
-I'm really into Ray Lamontagne.
- i am now familiar with the pride cycle. i hope it cycles back around soon.

Have you ever had one of those nightmares where you are lost in the dark, wandering, and cant find your way? And with every turn you take, you feel more and more panic? WELL I LIVED IT.
It was 1:30am and we were in the Supai Villlage at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It was pitch black, we only had our flashlights to guide us and every turn we took, lead us to a dead end. We had been wandering for a half hour, trying to get out and i was on the verge of losing it! I couldn't believe i was actually living out one of those nightmares, and i thought we were never going to get out. Thankfully, we had ran into these two Indians(at two in the morning, weird right?)named Quaid and Long Hair who had showed us the way out. The whole thing was so weird( and scary), i still don't believed it really happened.
Yesterday, we had just gotten back from hiking Havasupai. We had hiked about 25 miles in a little over 24 hours(which is crazy). I have bruises on my shoulders from my pack and Abe and i are walking like we are 80 years old, because we are so sore...but it was ALL worth it.
I forgot how amazing and beautiful it is down there! If you have ever been, you know that it is this unexpected little paradise, with huge waterfalls and this beautiful clear blue water. We had met up with my parents, at the bottom, and it was so much fun(other than that whole getting lost thing)! here are some pictures:

I don't have pictures of my house yet, but i do have pictures from memorial day weekend! Abe and I went up to Heber with some good friends.

oh and by the way... Hair- Do Salon is moving to Dana Park, so while that is getting built out, I am temporarily at Blossom Salon in downtown Mesa.

And that reminds me of story: This morning i had a little break, so i decided to go home for a little bit( i live literally down the street, which is really nice). Anyway i was just unpacking and when it was time to go back i couldn't find my keys ANYWHERE! i was looking all over, I confused because i just had them? i was running out of time, so i grabbed my spare keys to my car and locked the bottom lock as i went out the back door. When i was finished with work, i had to stall and wait til Abe got off work, because i didn't have a house key. Abe calls me and says" which door did you leave from?" and i said "the back, why?".... and he said (here it is)" your keys were still in the front door lock". SERIOUSLY?! im so embarassed for myself! i know I'm spacey, but really? and to make everything worse, we had two people come by during the day! one was leaving a card for exterior painting and the other was UPS. My keys were just dangling there in front of them! moral of the story is: take your vitamins, get regular exercise so you will have a functioning brain.

Have you ever found something at a thrift store and for whatever reason you didn't get it , but later when you thought about it more, then you wished you would of gotten it? Ahhhhh, that happen to me! I found these cool metal chairs at the thrift store the other week and they were only a dollar each.... but stupid me, i didn't get them( i don't know what i was thinking, obviously i wasn't). After that, i started thinking of all these great things i could do with them, and when i went back two days later.....they were gone!! Of course they were! They were cool and only a dollar! Every since i have regularly visited every thrift store in a 15 mile radius of my house seeing if i would be lucky enough to come across metal chairs. i have searched craigslist and ebay....and nothing. I really hate myself right now.

ohhhhhh, i have so much catching up to do! first of all, i finished my classes(all two of them)! I did well on my finals, I'm glad that's done! making mini shelves and couches is not as fun as it seems! We have been really busy and are really excited to start the new year!
Here's what we have been up to in the last couple months:

For the fall season, i made pumpkin seed trail mix, to give to family, friends and neighbors. I got this great recipe off of Martha Stewart's website.

Thanksgiving in Colorado
Abe's whole family went up to Colorado for Thanksgiving. His sister Aileen and her family live there. It was so nice having everyone together and we always have so much fun!

Christmas was so good! Every year Abe always get me really good gifts, so this year i felt like i needed to step it up! I found a pair of matching(his and hers) 1971 Schwinn bikes on craigslist! Aren't they so cute?!

The day after Christmas, we drove down to Tucson to meet up with one of my really good friends, Hannah and her husband Robbie. We wanted to go to the Kartchnern caverns, but apparently they were all booked up until Thursday(who knew they were so popular?) we ended up going to colossal caves instead. we love our caves. We had a really fun day, and we are going to miss them. I guess that means we need to take a trip out to Washington D.C. to visit them! right, Hannah?

Being sick and cooped up in the house all day, has made me really realize, that i want a new house. Do we really NEED a new house? probably not. But do i really WANT a new house? yes, i do.You know, just a little more space. Maybe a place where the smell of whatever our neighbors are cooking, doesn't seep into our house(and why does it always smell like salami?) Maybe a place with a real laundry room and a place to put my swifter sweeper. I think it is unfair that my Bosch mixer has to share a space with nasal decongestants. I have a lamp that is sitting on the floor because i have no space for a end table, so i expect this new house to cooperate with me and make room for my lamp. Oh, and i will probably want a big master room closet. I expect the paperwork for this house to be on my desk by Monday. thank you.

Wow, its about time i catch up on all this bloggy blog stuff! I have just been so busy lately! i know people do it all the time, but i am having a hard time adjusting to life with work, school, homework, church callings and a husband( and not to mention, my addiction to reading books). It took me a couple weeks to learn how to re-balance my life...but no worries, i think I'm 82% back to feeling like i got a hold of things.

Over Labor day weekend, we decided to take a last minute trip to San Diego. neither of us had been there in quite a while and it was definitely nice to get out of the heat! One of the big things we did when we were there was, we went Kayaking! Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of us doing that because we didn't have a water proof camera. We were at La Jolla beach(which is actually a nature preserve). We went into sea caves, saw sea lions and beautiful orange fish that were swimming in the clear water around us! Besides getting a little sea sick and being thrown out of a kayak when coming in, it was really fun!

We also went to the San Diego temple. We met the SWEETEST old man named Elder Nixon. His wife and him were serving there SIXTH(!) mission! All we could think about, is that we hoped someday we would have the opportunity to serve several missions(maybe not as many as six) as a couple later in our lives.
you have not idea of how many pictures i have of this same pose! i always end of trying to take of picture of us while we are driving and they all turn out with somebodies(mostly abes) head cut off(hey, he cant help it if he has a big head!) but man! I cant even tell you how much i love this guy, my husband, my best friend, mi vida.
My brother and Andrea and their boys were in San Diego the same time we were. We met up them for dinner for Andrea's birthday. Poor Parker was wiped out from a long day at Legoland!
We also, went to Old town and walked around.

Can i just say, that i am really sad that i missed Pioneer Day! The whole day passed, and because I didn't realize it was pioneer day, there was no "Pioneer Day miracles". If i still lived in Utah, this wouldn't have happened! I would of been attending parades, swimming and watching fireworks! I don't think Arizona believes pioneers... yes, i am pretty sure they said "Happy Tequila day" on the radio.

Did everyone cry as much as i did in this book?! Great book, but i mean seriously... there was sobbing! my shirt was wet from crying so much, its embarrassing. after i had finished the book i went down stairs and Abe was asking me about the book, and so i started telling him about it and I couldn't even finished because i start balling! I cant believe i was still crying over this book! am i so pathetic? And then there is Abe just staring at me, totally bewildered, not know what to say to me or do. I am laughing and crying as Abe tries to hug me. The whole thing was really funny, i had no control over what was happening......Jodi Picoult , why did you do this to me?!

Do you see this face? This is the face that says, don't wake me up if I'm dreaming, because I'm so happy to be in Utah, i cant believe how green it is and I'm at Ruth's diner. This is the that face says i am wearing a cardigan and not sweating in 105 degree weather, and yes, i will finish the entire mile high biscuit. And if i died, right now, in the parking lot of Ruth's diner, i would probably have this face... of pure joyful bliss.

I really meant mile high biscuits... i wasn't lying.

This is our friends, Drew and Jenny's little boy... isn't he the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Over all, it was a great trip. It was nice to see our niece get baptized(that was the whole reason why we were up there) and funny to hear her say," whoa, that was weird" as she came out of the water. It was fun hanging out with family and friends. I love Abes family, I always feel so lucky to have married into such a great family! I wish we could see them more often.(aka the 2014: Denver plan) I am bummed that we didn't take that many pictures. I guess that means we were having too much fun to bother with pictures. one thing i do wish there was a picture /video of: We were visiting our friends family and they had this great backyard with a zip line. Abe tells me to get on it and he pushes me really hard ,so i go flying down this hill on this zip line and crash into a tree! some nice husband he is! my hair was all caught up the bark and i am so awkward. It was really funny and Abe felt really bad. It would of been great though to get it on film!
Seeing all of the green trees and old beautiful houses made us really miss Utah, but we know, right now, Arizona is where we are suppose to be. We will just need to get our Utah fixes every once in a while.

last weekend, Karla was so nice to come with me to California for my birthday weekend... and what a birthday weekend it was! Disneyland, the beach , lots of shopping and some good sister-in-law bonding!

Disneyland!( and can you believe those are my legs with self tanner on? man i am white!!)

When you go on your birthday, not only do you get to go for free, but they give you this pin to wear and everywhere you go, all day long people tell you happy birthday... and by the end of the day you are feeling pretty good!

For the last couple of months, i have been planning a surprise trip for Abe, to see his favorite soccer team play in New York City(i got REALLY good seats for the game!). When i told him on Friday night, we were already on our way to the airport and the bags were packed and ready to go.... he was so excited, i was excited and then something horrible happened! we were flying with buddy passes, and when i called on Monday they said the flight was open, even Friday morning the flight was open.... somewhere between Friday morning and the time we got there the flight had book up! we were numbers 13th and 14th on the list for two available seats! there was no way we could get on the flight and next flight wasn't until late Saturday night, and it wouldn't be worth it because we would miss the game and i couldn't change the hotel reservation!! I cried. All of my hard work and sneakiness was gone within a matter of ten minutes! Abe was so nice, he said the thought was good enough for him and he appreciated everything i did! I was so sad! i was so sad we weren't going to new york(because i have never been) and all the money we lost and i just wanted to try and keep up with all of the great things Abe does for me.
The next day, Abe bought me some pots and flowers to plant to cheer me up( its funny how the trip was for him, but i was so upset and he was trying to cheer me up)what a great husband!

Me and Abe went to Seattle last weekend with the weights to see the stocks!( i guess when you are married you just call other couples by their last names?)It was really beautiful and REALLY cold! Here are just some of the things we did:

One bad date, a surprise trip to Provo and three years later.

okay,so maybe that was not how i pictured how it would be when i met my husband, but if you look pass all the awkwardness....it was a good moment. Our first year of marriage has been nothing but full of love and laughter and i can honestly say, I have the world's best husband.

For some reason this week i have some sort of a sleeping disorder. i don't get it? I normally have no problem sleeping if anything I'm a little too good at sleeping. seriously...on time i woke up and had goose egg and dried blood on my forehead. I think i hit my head in the night and nothing, it didn't even wake me up. Anyway, this week I have just been getting a few hours here and there....Why?! I just cant keep going on like this... its irritating. Any suggestions how i solve this problem?

Oh, a funny side note:
This morning Abe was leaving for work and i was kind of out of it(maybe half asleep?) and when he said goodbye, I said: " Bye mom, uh i mean dad, i mean..... husband." I wanted to say "Abe" but it didn't come out that way..so weird.

I am back. I know i haven't post anything since October. We are not even going to talk about it... we will just go on with our lives. Done.

The strangest thing happened to me this weekend. I went to the dentist Friday morning for a filling and came out with a nitrous(aka laughing gas) overdose..... i didn't think that was possible, but of course it happened to me. I was so so so so so so sick. I didn't get out of bed for a good 5 hours, with my feet up(apparently it helps to get it out of your system). I'm better now, i am just never going to the dentist again.

If you know me well, you know that i love any kind of amusement park. So, going to this huge amusement park in Ohio, on an island.... can we say awesome! It was really cold and really crowded, but the rides and the funnel cake made up for it! and the whole time i was there, i kept thinking...." i cant believe im in OHIO!" i guess i just thought Ohio was going to be one of those states that i was never going to visit, and i was OK with that. But life has its surprises and this was a good one!

South Bend/Norte Dame

This is where our Trip began! We met up with our friends Drew, Jenny and their son Kaden, and also Brookes and Melinda in South Bend, Indiana
(Just as a side note, Abe, Drew and Brooks have been best friends since the second grade!)

The Grotto is a replica of the famed French shrine where the Blessed Virgin appeared to Saint Bernadette. Thousands visit the Notre Dame shrine each year to pray and light candles.

Iron and Wine/Swell Season
Over the weekend we went to Tucson to see Iron and Wine and The Swell Season with our good friends Taylor and Meg Beckstead!

The night we got there we ate at this resturant called Zinburger. They had really good turkey burgers and zucchini fries.

The first time i tried to see the band Sigur Ros, Abe had a friend that did the booking for the depot and i specifically asked her to get sigur ros to come to Salt Lake. So, after she did some major convincing, Sigur Ros made an extra tour date in Salt Lake. I was so excited until i found out i would be a week short of turning 21 to this 21 and older show. They wouldn't let me in. The Second time i tried to see Sigur Ros, me and my roommates decided we were going to go to Denver to see them at the paramount theater. But, on the way there we hit some black ice and crashed the car repeatedly into the snow bank.. obviously after that, the concert was out the question. Then today, i found out that they are playing tomorrow?! Here! At the Marquee theater! How did i not know about this! i feel so out of the loop! Now the show is sold out and this will be the third time i will be missing them. I feel like this one could of been prevented! (sigh.)

why am i still talking?

i don't know if I've always been like this, or i am just now realizing it... I am awkward. i mean like the "i-make-other-people-feel-uncomfortable" kind of awkward. i get in these situations where i'll start talking,( but it doesn't really sound like talking, more like a bunch of unfinished words) and then realize that i am being awkward, then i panic, my mind goes blank, and there is usually a long pause . sometimes i try to fix it, and other times i will just give up in the middle of the sentence and stop talking. a few people will try to be nice and just go along with it, but most of the time i will just get blank stares. I'm being serious. This happens on average of six to ten times a week.
Actual sentences i have said in the last week:

to the laurels: " so, are you, uh i mean me or we going bring treats, er or uh food to eat,...... or umsome("umsome" is a word i use quite frequently) snacks for the meeting?.... you know to plan....activities... for ummmmmm....... mutual?"

to my mother- in- law:" i think we are uh, going on Friday to get pedicures, me and karla, friday right? you can come i don't know where(meaning the place) or are you, or do you want to come? Friday.

to a client:" how was Pittsburgh's? didn't you guys just go there on vacation?" Client- " uh, no we didn't" me- " oh thats right, you guys just moved into your new house" Client-" uh no, we haven't moved??" At this point , i feel like the client hates me because i can not remember a single thing about them and i am getting them mixed up with someone else. i feel stupid, they feel stupid and i just stopped talking. Luckily, it was just a bang trim and it only lasted five minutes.

ahhhhhhhhh! I am embarrassed for myself!! I don't even know how i can avoid stuff like this? Even if i thought it out before i said it, it still come out wrong. This is just how i am and i have accepted it and I'm just going to live my life one awkward moment at a time.

First off, let me just say that the Fourth of July is my FAVORITE holiday. I LOVE it more than Christmas or thanksgiving or any other holiday. There are just so many great things that come out of the fourth of July... barbecues, swimming, watermelon, fireworks, people wearing matching American T-shirts. So, this year being in Arizona, and being that it is 1,000 degrees out side, i was determined to plan something not in mesa. Luckily, my bestest friend Katie, invited me and Abe to come up to Heber, AZ with her and her husband. And just as a side note, Heber is where my love for the fourth began(me and Katie went every summer). Heber Fourth of July, consist of three things. 1). the parade. There were no actual floats in this parade, just people that decorate their cars or ATVs in red, white and blue and drive down the road. And at the parade, i sat next to this old man with an eye patch, that kept telling me(multiple times) if i ever got fat, that Abe would leave me. It was weird. 2). the festival. I'm not going to comment about it, because there is not much to comment about. 3). the fireworks. I will swear to the day i die, that these are the best fireworks you will ever see.(no, sarcasm. totally serious.) you are on these baseball fields(which are so American) that are in a canyon. They light the fireworks so close to the fields, that you can feel the force of the fireworks exploding on your face. aka, patriotism exploding in your face. Probably, the most amazing thing that you could see/experience, EVER.

WARNING: This is a really long post. Side affects may include: headache, dizziness, nausea, blurry eyes, uncontrollable laughter, extreme jealously and foaming at the mouth. May take days to read. Do not read this is if you have heart problems, kidney disease, three eyes, and the black plague. If side affects last longer than two days, maybe we shouldn't be friends.

Last weekend we went to the wonderful and beautiful, state of California. We went to go to our good friend Hannah's wedding and of course we did some other really fun stuff.
Highlights of the trip as follows:

10. Apparently, Dane and Carter came in our room(around 3 a.m.) while me and Abe were sleeping. They woke up Abe, were talking ,laughing, slamming doors and both of them got in the bed with us and spooned. I slept through all of this and had no idea it even happened. what can i say? I'm a deep sleeper.

9.Going to Karla's ex-boyfriends house,while he was out of town, so she could get some stuff back.

8. The million and half bottles we saved to turn in for money. We would like to thank the following for helping to make this possible: Abe's parents, Karla, Abe's co-workers, the state of California, and last but not least of all, kirkland, Aquafina, and arrowhead water.

7.Abe's weird/creepy obsession with Garrett's dog, Dalton. If Abe was to ever leave me, he would leave me for this dog. Hey Brooks.(just because he wanted to be mentioned on our blog) There are you happy!

6. The farmer's market across the street from Garrett's house,where we stayed. By the way, thank you Garrett, that was very nice of you.

5. going shopping(which consisted of the 3rd street promenade, fashion district, the Beverly center, and the outlets) for hours and hours and dragging Abe around with me and Karla.

4. The city of Monrovia. If i could pick one place to settle and live there for the rest of my life, it would be Monrovia. It is the cutest town with an awesome downtown(which was one street) and the neighborhoods were beautiful! Big trees lined the streets and the houses! Oh, don't get me started on the houses! I was deeply and madly in love with all of them. AND... i saw the Father of the Bride(the movie) house! i can check that one off the list.

3. Opening the door, and seeing Carter Nelson in a speedo. thats all I'm going to say about that one.

2. Seeing Hannah and Robbie married in the temple and seeing all of my wonderful friends, that i miss oh-so-dearly.

And the number one highlight of the trip, that i will probably remember for the rest of my life(because it's that good)is:

1. When we were at the Dodgers game, Abe was sitting behind me, because there were way too many people there. And We were on the very top level and there were all of these beach balls being thrown around. And someone in our section had hit it too hard and it went over the edge. And literally everybody in the crowd, was pissed, and started to Boo the person. I thought to myself,"that sucks for whoever did that!". I turn around to see who it was, and it was ABE! He was just sitting there with this face, and with his hands and shoulders in a shrug and all he could say was,"I'm not from around here!" I was dying of laughter. yup, thats my husband.

There are a couple issues we need to discuss concerning music. If you don't care about that subject, you can just move along to the next post.

first: Ryan Adams is dating Mandy Moore! Really? Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore. What? I cant even tell you all of the negative thoughts going through my brain when i read this. "Easy Plateau" and " Missing you like candy"? No! I just cant believe this. I hope he wakes up one day and realizes who he's dating and punches her in the face( i know thats mean, but i really do not like Mandy Moore) next subject.

So in salt lake, every summer, they have the Summer Twilight Concerts Series. Where the city gets bands to play for free down town, at the Gallivan Center. Of Course the summer Abe and I leave they have an amazing line up! The Roots, Andrew Bird, Clap Your Hands say Yeah, Nada Surf, Neko Case, and Broken Social Scene! I feel like they are just rubbing it my face that i don't live there anymore. Abe and I were debating whether or not we should go to salt lake just for Broken Social Scene. I am so mad about this. I would pay a lot of money to see any of those bands, but no, they are in Salt lake, for free! Why do bands skip over Phoenix? seriously though... Abe and I were looking for shows to go to, and wait... they were NONE! not only do we have to bake in this heat, we also get to listen to the"Top 20 songs" over and over again. We are living in the wrong city.

When I lived in Uruguay for two years, I never felt as homesick as I did at that moment. But while living in Uruguay for two years I was never able to cope with homesickness as I am able to now thanks to conjugal living

Since Xbox 360 Live's inception, there's been 2,300,000,000 hours spent playing games on the network. Which is 95,000,000 days. Which is 260,000 years. 2,000,000 text and voice messages are sent over the service every day. My husband... he is one of them. It all started when Abe's friends got him an Xbox 360 for "our" wedding present. Wedding present? really? Everyday, if not every other day Abe is on the Xbox 360. It wouldn't be such a big deal, but when he is playing, he is occupying not just the television, but the internet too. So what do i get to do... i am left with no other choice, but to be stuck watching him play. yeah, thanks for the wedding present. I really picture my first year of marriage, watching my husband say ridiculous things into headset, while his are eyes glued to the T.V.( I hope everyone is picking up on my sarcasm.) So, to entertain myself, i started recording all of things he says. Its funny to me, because its things that i didn't expect Abe to ever say to me in real life.
"Look at this guy twitching, i feel bad because i killed him."
"dude."
"Look at my gun, customized baby!"
"dude."
"Do you want to see me snipe this guy?"
"dude, dude."
"Do you want to play? I can plug you in."

Did he really think i wanted to play? All i could say in response was,"this game swears."

The Captain's Mistress

Last night it was brought to my attention that Jessica was famed for her great skill when it came to the Milton Bradley game Connect Four, circa 1974. Two players, ages generally range from 7 and up; games tend to last around ten minutes. I was curious to see her in her flair that made her a Connect Four celebrity in the Provo area. Children would come from a far to see her toy with her challenger, as she juggled the checkers across her knuckles, starring straight at them as if she could read ones thoughts. I must be honest with you, I did fear for my life as we laid out the travel size game. Instantly, I lost the first game not even knowing what had happen, I felt violated and used all at once. I mustard up all of my courage and took her once more. Final tally: Abe-6, Jessica-1. I was foolish to think that we could simply “spoon” afterwards…but that wasn’t the case. Needless to say, after she reads this, she most likely wont “spoon” with me tonight as well.

One more thing, while I'm just rambling...When i first started this blog i was kind of nervous, i felt this pressure to write about really cool things that me and abe do( and i will do that). But really? thats probably not what I'll be writing about most of the time. I like to talk about nothing that has any real importance. Thats how my brains thinks. You know, its the thoughts that come you when you are driving alone or in the shower. I feel like i need to get these thoughts out or my brain will just explode. Just bare with me. thank you.

Everything is a "situation" to me. i.e."what are you going to do about that situation?" ; " how do you feel about that situation?". I don't even know why i say it so much... it just comes out. When i say it, it can mean anything. Abe missed a call from a friend, and i say" what are you going to do about that situation?" when its not really a "situation" at all, but i just call it that.
I also attach "or something" at the end of my sentences. i.e. " i think we are going to my parents house or something"; " I'm really hungry or something"; " I think she is cute or something". Can i even do that? Do all English majors hate me right now, because i talk/write like that? I don't even make sense when i say these things. They have to hate me, they probably have some club.The" i wish Jessica would not talk like that" club. And they would also discuss that i frequently write run- on sentences. i like to call it rambling, but they would probably call it " poor grammar". well good thing this club does not actually exists and i am free to write and talk how i please(even if it doesn't make sense)

So, why do i see him start to put them on right before we go out? I know what your thinking... "get the boy some new shoes!" But no no, he has new shoes. He has about four other shoes he can wear. Why he still wears these? I'll never understand.

Today was perfect. I love that its raining, I love that its cold, I love that i am wearing a jacket, and i love rainy day music. I didn't realized how much i missed the cold weather. I don't want it to go away . For the last couple days its been in the triple digits. This rain is refreshing. Tonight me and abe opened all of our windows in our house so it would get really cold. We made tomato soup(which is my favorite thing in the world) and made the best grilled cheese sandwich we have ever created. We sat our couch(because we don't have table) and ate, while we listen to the perfect rainy day soundtrack(+/- and death cab). It was perfect. It was the first time since moving to Arizona, that i felt like we were home.

I feel like i need to introduce me and my husband or something? well, me(Jessica) and my husband(Abe) just moved back to Arizona from Utah in November. We also just got married two months ago. Abe is working and going to school at the university of phoenix and i am a stylist at hair-do salon. We are extremely dorky people, but we would like to think we are cool. I am willing to admit that we are music snobs(we are kind of that way with films too) and we are okay with that. I like to read, my husband plays soccer, I'm quiet, he's loud, i like Mexican food, he is one(Mexican)...blah blah blah.... feel free to ask questions at anytime.
